How we handle money, sources, sponsorship and corrections.

This page describes how Aware Roots handles money, sources and third-party content. It is public because you should be able to check it.

Sponsored content

We accept paid placements. Every one of them:

  • carries a visible label at the top of the page, before the first paragraph;
  • uses rel="sponsored" on outbound commercial links;
  • must be relevant to what this site actually covers — we turn down placements outside our subject areas;
  • is edited to the same standard as everything else, or it does not run.

Payment buys placement and audience. It does not buy a conclusion, and it never buys the removal of a criticism.

Affiliate links

Some product links earn a commission. They are marked, and they never determine a recommendation. Where we recommend a product we also say who should not buy it.

Sources

Health and wellbeing claims are linked to primary research wherever primary research exists. Where the evidence is weak, we say so rather than borrowing confidence from a citation that does not support the claim.

Corrections

Errors are fixed in place with a dated correction note. Substantive changes are never made silently.

AI use

We use AI tools for research assistance and editing. We do not publish generated articles under a human byline, and every factual claim is verified against its source by a person.
